The Mizuno MX 200 is aimed at lower handicap players really and the Mizuno MX 100 would be made for the higher handicap golfer. Saying that if you don’t struggle getting the ball in the air then the Mizuno MX 200 could be a good golf club for you.
The Mizuno MX 200 is a real improvement on the MX25 because of the Y-Tune bar on the back of the golf club. The Y-tune bar really does work; it makes the hitting area bigger and much more forgiving.
The Mizuno MX 200 would be a step forward for your game and the graphite shaft in that iron with what you are saying is not helping you, move to the Mizuno MX 200 and get the great XP dynalite golf shaft in a regular flex.
As for the Mizuno MX 200 irons going so much further than your old iron with the same shaft would make me feel like you should be buying them yesterday. You need to hold in mind that you will hit the ball different from day to day, so to give you piece of mind it would be worth having another demo. The forging in the Mizuno MX 200 iron should help with control and feel and distance should not be affected so much. Do remember that the Mizuno MX 200 irons have a good amount of weight at the bottom of the head along with the Y-Tune which will always make any off centre toe strike fly further than other irons.
